ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of a Federal Government Department to source an experienced Mental Health Professional for a Clinician role in Bundall QLD, providing Counselling services to veterans. This is a 2 year contract at an APS6 level. 

Duties:
Facilitating the delivery of counselling and other programs to veterans, ADF personnel and their families:
  • Deliver high-quality clinical services such as risk assessment, case management, evidence-based counselling (individual, couple, and family), and referral coordination.
  • Review client progress, adjust care plans as needed, and extend episodes of care where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessments, care plans, and session notes.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development to maintain registration and best practice.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and senior staff to review and manage complex cases.
  • Liaise with family members, treatment providers, and other stakeholders to coordinate care and support.
  • Contribute to group programs, psychoeducation, community engagement, and service promotion activities.
  • Support quality improvement, evaluation, and research initiatives, providing feedback to enhance clinical practice and procedures.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Qualifications as a registered Psychologist / Mental Health Occupational Therapist / Mental Health Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration, OR
  • Qualification as a Social Worker with membership of the Australian Association Social Workers (AASW) on commencement OR
  • A Masters-level counselling qualification and registration with PACFA as a Registered Clinical Counsellor or with ACA at Level 3 or Level 4
  • Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance must be obtained prior to commencement.
  • As this role is within a Federal Government department it is a required to be an Australian Citizen at time of commencement
